Robert Kuper, a Lecturer in Landscape Architecture at Temple University Ambler, received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and a Master of Landscape Architecture, cum laude, from Auburn University. He has several years of experience as a landscape designer with award-winning firms, including Steve Martino & Associates in Phoenix; Geller DeVellis, Inc., in Boston; and Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc., in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Kuper has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University and Philadelphia University.

Kuper is currently working on a landscape study entitled “Seeing the Plain: Examining the American Cultural Landscape of the Great Plains” that will be developed into a book. “Seeing the Plain” uses four modes of travel – walking, bicycling, driving, and flying – along the 100th Meridian to observe, document, and analyze the Great Plains landscape.

Mr. Kuper has compiled an impressive portfolio of design studies, which clearly shows the range of his talents in graphics, computer aided design, and construction documentation. His passion for the field of landscape architecture has resulted in a uniquely individual endeavor to “gain a deeper understanding of what landscape are” by walking, biking, driving, and flying across his home state of Nebraska.
