EarthFest 2012 is right around the corner!
Friday, April 27, 2012
9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Rain or shine!
As the event continues to grow, so does the need for volunteers!
Last year's event — with about 85 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors — could not have been successful without the help of volunteers, including students, staff, faculty, and community members.
This year, we will be continuing the event for an extra hour this year to accommodate our visitors.
We are hoping that we can count on previous volunteers returning, and new volunteers participating for the first time!
We have dozens of positions that we need filled, and several time options to choose from. A list of positions available and a short description of each position is detailed below. Time slots are also included.
We will try to accommodate position requests on a first come, first served basis. Your time requests WILL be honored, as we understand that many campus departments may have their staff volunteer in shifts.
EarthFest is an event that highlights how communities can come together to protect and preserve our environment, our towns, and ourselves - it's all about sustainability!
Why not become a part of the team and volunteer at what has become one of the largest celebrations of Earth Day on the East Coast?
Are you a local community member or a member of an area oganization that would like to help out? Contact us! We'd be happy to have you!
All positions have the following shifts:
-
9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
-
11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
-
12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Help direct vendors to their areas; assist in set-up if needed. Once vendors are set up, this staff will assist in directing guests throughout the campus and encouraging them to visit all three different event areas.

We want to thank you for your valued support!
Each volunteer will receive a WRISTBAND during volunteer meetings prior to the day of the event,
which indicates you are eligible for a free lunch on the day of EarthFest. You may recieve this free lunch from the Exhibitor/Staff food area in the Red Barn Gym. The wristbands will NOT be honored at the food tents open to the visitors.
If you are coming from an outside organization, please let us know how many people will be coming to volunteer so that we can ensure each member gets their wristband!
Thank you in advance for your support! It is only through the support of our campus and neighboring communities that we can ensure that EarthFest 2012 will be a success!
It is important that you respond with your volunteer position/time requests and any special needs as soon as possible!
