Last year, nearly 10,000 visitors spent a rewarding, educational day at Temple University Ambler celebrating the importance of protecting the environment and preserving their future. Each year, our exhibitors play an essential role in making EarthFest and the Kids Grow Expo a huge success.
We would like to invite you to take part in EarthFest 2008, for what we anticipate will be another terrific day of educational fun and excitement!
EarthFest 2008 will be held Friday, April 25. The event, sponsored by the Center for Sustainable Communities at Temple University Ambler, will be held, rain or shine, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ambler campus.
The mission of EarthFest is to promote environmental awareness using sustainable concepts, methods, and practices to protect and preserve our environment.
Organizations, businesses, colleges, high schools, middle schools, and individuals demonstrate sustainable concepts and technologies, and provide interactive educational displays, activities, and much more! Food and entertainment are also part of the festivities.
One of the primary goals of the Center for Sustainable Communities is developing partnerships within the surrounding communities. We believe EarthFest is a perfect opportunity for area businesses and organizations to get involved and work toward developing sustainable communities for today and tomorrow.
EarthFest partner the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, also offers their Kids Grow Expo, featuring the Junior Flower Show, as part of the event. Exhibitors for 2008 will include the Philadelphia Zoo, Franklin Institute, the Academy of Natural Sciences, Wondergy, Adventure Aquarium, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Elmwood Park Zoo, the Insectarium, and many others!
We hope that you will be among our more than 80 exhibitors that will take part in EarthFest 2008!

Exhibitors will be informed of the specific location of their booth/table prior to the event - please note that booth assignments are subject to change.

In 2008, we hope to continue expanding this educational festival. The Franklin Institute, the Academy of Natural Sciences, Adventure Aquarium, the Philadelphia Zoo, The Insectarium, the Elmwood Park Zoo, the Department of Environmental Protection, and dozens of other exhibitors have committed to being a part of EarthFest 2008.
Many past exhibitors - some of whom have been with us since the beginning - that have helped to make the event so successful are returning for what we are sure will be another exciting, fun filled year!
EarthFest carries a significant operating cost, in excess of $45,000. Sponsorship gifts offset that cost, enabling us to enhance access to EarthFest for many students, teachers, and community residents throughout the region. Most participating schools have made the event a yearly highlight of their science curricula.
One reason so many schools are able to participate in EarthFest is that we have never charged attendees — schools pay nothing beyond the cost of their own transportation. The high quality of the event and its affordability keep past participants coming back and encourage additional schools to attend each year!
