T-VSSI BMPs at Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust (PERT)

Over the summer and fall of 2006, T-VSSI researchers constructed
5 demonstration BMPs at PERT. The BMPs include

• Infiltration Trenches

• Stormwater Wetland

• Under Parking Lot Infiltration Gallery

• Riparian Buffer

• Upland Stormwater Wet Ponds

Following the construction and planting of the BMPs, the researchers conducted a post construction inspection to verify that the BMPs have been constructed to meet the requirements of the plans and specifications. During the first year post construction, the researchers repaired or restored newly planted vegetation that needed to be replaced due to die-off or damage from extreme weather.

Post construction, the researchers initiated monitoring of the BMPs as outlined in the site specific monitoring protocol documented in the Integrated Monitoring Plan.
