A
porous paving system was incorporated into the Pennock Flower Walk as
part of Andropogon Associates’ master site plan for the Morris
Arboretum. The stormwater management system uses porous pavers and
inlets to direct the water into stone beds underneath the paved surface.
These stone recharge beds retain runoff at its source and allow for
infiltration into the groundwater supply. The stone beds also provide
plants with the added benefits of root aeration and passive irrigation. |
