In April 2006, the T-VSSI initiated a regional survey of existing stormwater BMPs. Initially the T-VSSI team sent a mass e-mailing out to the regional community including, but not limited to, designers, developers, public land managers, and private landowners, watershed associations… asking them to submit photographs, plans, and other data on existing BMPs. The goal of the regional BMP survey is to create a comprehensive database of model stormwater management facilities in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The researchers also are working with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) to add retrofit designs developed by PEC to the regional database. The T-VSSI is still interested in receiving examples of model stormwater management projects and facility retrofits.
