The CSC typically celebrates GIS Day in November, an event that invites students from neighboring high schools and middle schools to participate in a free GIS demonstration. Students spend 2 to 4 hours at the GIS lab to learn the basic GIS functionalities and map making at free of cost. They are also introduced to some practical GIS applications. Workshop materials are prepared according to the level of GIS exposure the students already have. The workshops are run by the CSC GIS Coordinators.
