Alice Walters is a graduate student in the Community and Regional Planning department and is currently a research assistant studying community hunger relief food access network and stormwater best management practices.

Ms. Walters has graduated from Penn State University in 1999 with a degree in Environmental Resource Management. After spending time in China this summer, she has gained new interest in helping developing countries to make policy and planning decisions that encourage environmental sensitivity and sustainability.

Through her research for her final project, she is seeking to better understand the green housing movement and how to incorporate the best practices of green building into the market as standard procedure.
