Dept of Earth and Environmental Science
Dr. Jonathan Nyquist received a B.A. (1980) in physics from
Macalester College, a M.S. (1982) in physics from the University
of Maryland and a PhD (1986) in geophysics from the University of
Wisconsin. Dr. Nyquist is a professor in Temple's department of
Earth and Environmental Science. His research interests include
the application multi-electrode resistivity and electromagnetic
methods to the characterization of shallow karst terrain, magnetic
mapping of unexploded ordnance, and an active NSF grant to study
geophysical characterization of groundwater/ surface water
interaction.
Dr. Nyquist is member of the Society of Exploration
Geophysicists, the American Geophysical Union, the Geological
Society of America, and he currently serves as President of the
Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (http://www.eegs.org).
