Kyle Guie teaches Fundamentals of GIS and Spatial Analysis Techniques at Ambler and Center City. He is currently the Project Manager for the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association which is a private non-profit organization that advocates for a viable and sustainable transportation network. Mr. Guie is also on the Board of Directors and Legislative Committee Chair for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Association.
In November 2011, Mr. Guie became the youngest elected member of the Phoenixville Borough Council. He served as the Chair of the Infrastructure Committee, Council representative to the Phoenixville Regional Planning Commission, and an advocate for multi modal transportation, urban infill development, and green stormwater management. He was also a member of the Phoenixville Borough Planning Commission prior to his Council service.
A 2010 graduate of Temple's M.S. in Community and Regional Planning program, Mr. Guie served as a graduate research assistant with the Center for Sustainable Communities and a teaching assistant for GIS courses. During his second year of studies, he was a Policy Fellow in the Montgomery County Commissioners Office. He completed his undergraduate studies in Geography and GIS at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Mr. Guie resides in Phoenixville where he is an avid trail runner and an advocate for sustainable initiatives.
