The Planning Accreditation Board recently adopted revised standards that place increased emphasis on outcomes (see www.planningaccreditationboard.org). To this end, the following information is provided about Temple University’s MS in Community and Regional Planning program:
The MS in Community and Regional Planning program has 130 alumni.
The current, accredited, 45 credit program for the MS in Community and Regional Planning went into effect in fall 2009. Since then, the retention rate is 82%. Twenty five students have completed this program in an average of two years.

AICP Membership
Thirteen of Temple University's MS in CRP alumni have earned the AICP credential. The American Planning Association reports that the alumni who have taken the AICP exam within three years of graduation have a 100 percent pass rate.
Employment rate
A survey of alumni indicates that 60 percent are employed directly in the planning field. The remainder of alumni are employed in planning related fields such as private consulting, real estate development, emergency management, land conservation and academia.
