Deadlines

Freshman Students:
Application deadline for incoming freshmen: March 1 of your senior year.

To ensure you are eligible for all scholarship opportunities, apply as soon as possible. Once all of your application materials are received, you should receive an admissions decision within 4 to 6 weeks. Please note, however, that we begin reading applications in the fall.

 

Transfer Students:
Application deadline for transfers:

Fall Semester: July 1

Spring Semester: November 1

The National Tuition Deposit deadline is May 1 of your senior year.

 

Transfer Students:

Tuition deposit deadlines vary by semester.

Admission Checklist

For High School Students:

  • Take the SAT, ACT, or both (www.collegeboard.com/splash).
     
  • Visit the Ambler campus. To schedule a visit and tour, please call 267-468-8100 or e-mail ambler@temple.edu.
     
  • Ask two or three people for a letter of recommendation for your application (this can be a teacher, guidance counselor, principal, coach, religious leader, etc.).
     
  • Apply to Temple University no later than March 1 of your senior year (we begin reviewing files December 1). We recommend that you apply online. (It’s the easiest and cheapest way.) You may also download and print a paper application.
     
  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form by the priority deadline of March 1, and make sure to put Temple University Ambler in the appropriate space. (The federal code for Temple University Ambler is E00621.)
     
  • Once you receive your acceptance letter (within 4 to 6 weeks of your completed application), you must pay your tuition through Self Service Banner on the TUportal Webpage by the deadline of May 1.
     
  • Orientation information and placement testing information will arrive during the summer before your first semester. You will register for classes when you meet with your advisor at orientation.

For Transfer Students:

  • Make sure you have at least 15 college-level credits from an accredited institution and at least a 2.5 GPA.
     
  • Request all official transcripts from any college or university you attended.
     
  • Apply to Temple University no later than June 1 for the next fall semester, or November 1 for the next spring semester. We have a printed application, or you can apply online.
     
  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form by the priority deadline of March 1, and make sure to put Temple University Ambler in the appropriate space. (The federal code for Temple University Ambler is E00621.)
     
  • Once you receive your acceptance and credit evaluation, you may pay your tuition through Self Service Banner on the TUportal WebpageThe sooner you pay your deposit, the sooner you may complete the online orientation, which is followed by an appointment with an academic advisor. You will register for your first semester courses with your advisor.
