Academic Programs

Attending Before Applying

To enroll in undergraduate or graduate classes, it is not necessary for students to apply and be admitted to a degree program (matriculated students.) Non-matriculated students take courses for professional development, for personal enrichment, or for future application to a degree program.

At the time of initial registration, however, new students must provide proof of graduation, a final transcript or diploma, from their high school for undergraduate programs or a baccalaureate degree program at an accredited college or university for graduate programs.

As a general rule, non-matriculated undergraduate or graduate students can take up to three courses (a maximum of 9 s.h.) before they are formally admitted into an academic program. Please note: Some graduate departments do not authorize the enrollment of non-matriculated students.
