Certificate in Gerontology
TU Institute on Aging offers a Certificate in Gerontology. The Certificate in Gerontology program is an 18 credit hour program. The Certificate may be completed at both undergraduate and graduate levels in conjunction with a degree program. The certificate can also be earned through a freestanding course of study not linked to a graduate degree.
Students in the Certificate Program select courses from a broad array of courses offered throughout the University. The student in cooperation with the Coordinator of the Gerontology Program designs a program of study. The listing below is not an exhaustive listing of courses that can be applied toward the Certificate.
Matriculated students in the College of Health Professions and Social Work School of Social Work, and in the College of Health Professions and Social Work Departments of Public Health and Therapeutic Recreation have select majors courses that can be used to meet the requirements for the certificate in Gerontology.
