Online ModulesOVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM:The Geriatric Educational Center of Pennsylvania (GEC/PA) (a consortium between University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania State University, and Temple University) is excited to present this online CME program targeted at key clinical issues related to the geriatric patient. The GEC/PA mission is to maintain and improve the health and well being of Pennsylvania’s elderly population by increasing the level of geriatric expertise among existing as well as future health care professionals. GEC/PA provides both interdisciplinary and discipline-specific geriatric education to individuals working in clinically oriented disciplines. Specialists from Temple University School of Medicine present the most up to date evidence-based scientific information concerning the management of these geriatric problems.
INTENDED AUDIENCE:This educational activity was designed for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:At the completion of this CME program, participants should be able to: 1) identify and describe clinical issues related to the topics listed; 2) summarize the prevalence and epidemiology of the topics listed; 3) diagnose and treat patients using the best evidence-based scientific information available for the topics listed below.
