Admissions Information

To apply for undergraduate admission to obtain a bachelor's degree, complete the online application at www.temple.edu/undergrad.

If you have a high school diploma or GED and have attempted fewer than 15 credits at a previous college or university, you will apply as a freshman. If you have attempted or earned 15 or more transfer credits, you should apply as a transfer student.

The application deadline for fall (September) enrollment is March 1 for freshmen and July 1 for transfers. For spring (January) enrollment, the deadline is November 1 for both freshmen and transfers.

Applying for Veteran Benefits

All eligible veterans must apply for benefits through the Office of Academic Records when they are admitted to the University and at the beginning of each subsequent semester. This office verifies enrollment for all V.A. programs.

If you need more information call the V.A. Coordinator in the Office of Academic Records at (215) 204-7358. G.I. Bill information is available.

Housing

As a veteran, you are welcome to apply for on campus housing. You will be housed according to your class standing, i.e. freshman, returning, graduate, Ambler or transfer student. The policies and procedures for each category are available on the University Housing and Residential Life website.

If you'd prefer to live off campus, the Off-Campus Living Office offers lease consultation services and lists contact information for major properties immediately adjacent to Main Campus.

Transfer Credit Evaluation

We will accept your credits from another regionally accredited college or university if we have a course equivalency at Temple and you earned a grade of C- or better in the course.

We accept military credits based on credit recommendations provided via the American Council on Education (ACE) AARTS for Army and SMARTS for Navy and Marine transcripts. We also grant credit from the Community College of the Air Force.

Support Services

The Main Campus Office of Continuing Education serves a wide variety of students, including veterans returning to school for undergraduate or graduate courses. If you'd just like to take some courses, you can enroll as a non-matriculated student.

The Tuttleman Counseling Center is an accredited mental health service for students on campus, and provides individual and group counseling services, and crisis intervention. Our services are confidential and free. Several of our professional staff have experience working with veterans, including veterans of the Iraq war.

The Office of Disability Resources and Services offers confidential services for veterans with a disability, such as post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury or other disability. Allow us to work with you in ensuring your educational experience is barrier free.
