Coursework and Career Prospects

Radio newsroom

Students in the program take coursework in both CLA and SCAT.

Those classes provide a foundation for critical awareness as well as preparation for a variety of media-related careers, including:

  • research positions in film and video production
  • archival and library positions in media institutions
  • public relations jobs in media
  • museum research postions supporting exhibitions and media
  • writing about media for publications

This interdisciplinary major is open to students based in either CLA or SCAT.
