Akwaba

New! Read the February 2006 News Letter

Akwaaba
Akwaaba means ‘welcome’ in Akan, a Ghanaian language. It is the official newsletter of the Temple University Department of African American Studies
(DAAS). It is published on the first Monday of every month in the spring and fall semesters (except January & August). It serves as an official bulletin of information about the DAAS faculty, staff and alumni as well as DAAS majors and students taking DAAS courses. It’s audience is not only Temple University,
but the greater Philadelphia and African American Studies communities.
