The meeting was called to order by Mary Anne Gaffney at 3:00 pm.
Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Chair’s Report:
Mary Anne Gaffney reported on the following items:
[1] The Writing Committee Report is still to come.
[2] The ‘Adjunct Report’ has been forwarded to the President for review.
International Studies or Language Requirement:
Michele O’Conner lead a discussion concerning a proposal to clarify and simplify the administration of the Core Requirement for ‘International Studies or Language’. Her discussion and proposal are summarized on pages 4-5 of a document distributed to committee members.
A motion to approve her proposal passed with one abstention.
Orin Chein wondered if the EPPC must take this proposal to the full faculty senate in order to pass the proposal.
