Lectures & Forums Committee End-of-Year Report
1) Awards
Over the course of the year the Committee awarded $4,100 of its $5,000 budget for honoraria. Awards were given to speakers requested from departments of Dance, Music, English, Art History, and TESOL, as well as one from TAUP.
Only two proposals came before the Committee in the second semester:

2) Membership
The Committee has had a membership shortage for two years. We began the second semester with only two members. Dr. Glenn Snelbecker was recruited in February and was a welcome addition. With the return of one member from study leave in the fall, the committee will have four members --if Dr. Tom Getzen agrees to continue. In any event, more members are needed from a variety of disciplines.
