Report of the Faculty Senate Budget Committee
The Committee prepared a trend analysis of revenues and expenses by functional category for fiscal years 1997 through 2007. This was shared and discussed with VP Finance Tony Wagner, VP Research Lemanski, and Deputy Provost Englert. We also met with VP Finance Lux of the TUHS. Many other issues were discussed including the audited financial reports for fiscal 2006-07, the huge swings in the unrealized gains in Temple’s endowment and operating funds over the past two years (Fiscal 2007 was much better than fiscal 2006), the FASB 158 charges, etc.
