Health Sciences Center

intern in labTemple University’s Health Sciences Center is a hub of academic, clinical and research activities. State-of-the-art facilities and labs allow for hands-on learning and collaboration among scholars of a wide range of health professions.


The Health Sciences Center is home to the College of Health Professions, the Kornberg School of Dentistry, the School of Medicine and the School of Pharmacy. Students and faculty take advantage of a combined library for collaborative study, partnerships with Temple University Health System and opportunities to engage in the North Philadelphia community.

Our School of Podiatric Medicine, located in at 8th and Race streets in Philadelphia, is one of only nine accredited schools of podiatric medicine in the country. The school operates its own comprehensive Foot and Ankle Institute as well as a specialized research center.

Temple is widely recognized for providing exceptional primary care to an underserved community as well as for healthcare services that draw patients, faculty and students from near and far. The university’s research strengths include cardiovascular disease, neuroscience, pharmacokinetics, obesity, drug abuse, lung disease and cancer cell biology.
