Defering Your Application for Admission

If you wish to defer your application for admission to the upcoming Spring 2010 semester, you must contact the department to which you originally applied.  The OIS cannot defer your application.

Undergraduates must go to http://www.temple.edu/undergrad/applying/documents/07_Renewal-APP.pdf  and download a "renewal application".  All questions regarding the renewal process must be directed to the Office of Undergraduate admissions at tuadmint@temple.edu. If you are admitted for the upcoming semester, we will issue you an I-20. We may need updated financial documentation.

Graduate students must contact the department to which you applied. Each graduate level department has its own policy regarding deferring admission. You may go to http://www.temple.edu/site_index.htm for contact information for each Temple University department.

Please note that this e-mail is only providing directions on deferring your application for admission to the University.  It does not imply that you have been admitted to the University. An I-20 will only be issued once  the Office of International Services is notified of your admission to the University.

To Check the Status of your Admissions Application:

The office of International Services will be unable to issue you an I-20 until your admission is deferred from the Fall 2009 semester to the Spring 2010 semester.
