In keeping with the spirit of Temple University’s Access to Excellence initiative, the College of Liberal Arts has established The Student Emergency Fund which is specifically designed to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students demonstrating satisfactory academic performance who have encountered hardships that may hinder their academic progress or force them to withdraw from their current academic semester. Applications for emergency funding will be accepted on a rolling basis for the fall and spring semesters, with the funding amount ranging to a maximum of $2,000.

Examples of such hardships may include the loss of child care arrangements, insufficient funds to purchase textbooks, the need to cover health care costs, the inability to pay a tuition gap or fees, the need to buy a computer or other necessary purchases in support of their academic programs, or other unexpected financial hardships.

Students are required to complete the funding application form and provide supporting documentation appropriate to their requests.
