Looking for someone to carpool with? Use the ride share board available through the TUPortal or directly at http://needaride.temple.edu. The carpooling site is divided by sections of the city and suburbs to help match Temple students, faculty, and staff who need a ride with drivers who have space in their cars.

Personnel Considerations

“Flextime” - Adjustment of Working Hours:

Where normal levels of student and/or patient service would not be interrupted, individual departments may adjust the hours of arrival and departure of individual employees, in order to avoid travel during peak hours. These adjustments will be permitted at the discretion of the budget unit head and so long as the department is covered during normal hoursof operation and the schedule is in accordance with operative collective bargaining agreements.

Vacation and Sick Time
Vacation and sick time will be treated as follows:

  • Vacation days and holiday time may NOT be scheduled during the duration of the SEPTA strike. Exceptions must be approved by the relevant budget unit head.

  • Vacations and personal days/holidays scheduled prior to the start of the SEPTA strike will be honored.

  • In cases of sick time, a physician's statement may be required, at the discretion of the budget unit head.

  • All employees will be expected to maintain their regular work schedules and will be paid ONLY for the hours worked.

Security
There will be increased Security coverage, including the following:

  • Officers stationed at key shuttle bus locations

  • City traffic police to cover major Broad Street intersections

  • Increased patrols for all Temple parking lots

  • Maintenance of the stationary patrol officer at 10th and Berks Station

  • Maintenance of the dusk-to-dawn TUDoor service and Owl Loop Service
